The Prince of Wales is a charming Country Inn and Family Restaurant, set in the beautiful Essex countryside located in the village of Inworth nr Kelvedon. It is situated just off Junction 23 of the A12, equidistant from Chelmsford and Colchester.

The building, which is Grade II listed, dates back several hundred years and the adjoining barn is believed to have been built in the 15th century.
The Prince of Wales has recently been acquired by new owners, and has been lovingly restored, revealing the traditional charm and original features whilst at the same time introducing a modern, contemporary feel.

Over the forthcoming months we will be introducing a wide and varied range of events, functions and exciting enhancements to our food and beverage menus, all designed to make The Prince of Wales an exceptional eating and drinking experience for all the family. This, combined with the open, spacious garden, will create a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Our chefs will provide a range of culinary delights using fresh, locally sourced products. This will be complemented by an extensive range of beers, ales, spirits and wines from our cellar.

We will be open six days a week, serving a range of menus including All Day, À La Carte, and Sunday Roast.

Please find full details of our menus on the Dining tab to the left of the screen.

The Prince of Wales is currently displaying artwork by local artists Clive Wakeford and Euan Boyd-Wallis. All the paintings on display are available for sale. Should you be interested, please enquire when next visiting The Prince of Wales.
